I've been a monkees fan since I was old enough to watch TV, really. It started during the '86 reunion, and it's slowly progressed from there. I've seen 3 monkees perform live on 3 different occasions. I saw Davy Jones during the Teen Idols Tour in '98, Peter Tork with Shoe Suede Blues in April of 2001, and then I saw 'The Monkees' (or 3 of them) in July 2001. And to complete my summer that year and make it completely unbelievible, I went to the Rock 'n Roll Hall Of Fame Museum in August 2001 for my 18th birthday.
